Room for privacy
Your calls.
Your information.
RingZen is operated by Wallace Internet Properties Inc. This notice explains how we handle information when you use our website, iPhone app and phone service. Contact help@ringpass.app with privacy questions.
What we use and why.
Your account and setup. We use your email, authentication information, verified mobile number, carrier and plan preferences, greeting name and screening settings to create your account, confirm ownership and operate your service. Verification texts are requested during setup; they do not enroll you in marketing.
Phone service. We process your assigned RingZen number, caller numbers, call times, screening results, call status and duration to screen and deliver calls and show your history. Setup call checks may process the spoken test phrase to confirm audio. Your carrier also handles forwarding from your mobile number and has its own privacy practices.
VIP callers. When you explicitly add a VIP caller, we save that selected phone number with your RingZen account and publish it to your hosted call-routing service so future calls from that number can skip the screening code. We do not upload your contact names, photos or address book for this feature. You can remove a VIP number in the app; account deletion removes the VIP list along with your service data. A number match does not verify the caller’s identity.
Voicemail and optional analysis. Eligible plans store voicemail audio and its call details. Pro transcripts and summaries require your explicit permission in the app. If you allow them, new voicemail recordings and resulting text are shared with Twilio and its AI providers, including OpenAI for summaries, to provide those features. You can keep voicemail recording and playback without enabling analysis. Turning permission off stops new analysis requests; work already submitted may finish. Existing results remain until the message is deleted or expires. Enabling permission does not automatically upload older messages. Voicemail callers hear the recording prompt. Transcripts and summaries can contain mistakes; check the recording for important details.
Your iPhone. Device registration and push identifiers let us deliver incoming-call notifications and, when configured and permitted, message notifications. Microphone access supports calls. If you allow contact access, RingZen matches names and photos on your iPhone; RingZen does not upload your address book for that matching.
Billing and support. Stripe handles hosted payment and subscription management. RingZen stores customer and subscription references and payment/access status. The RingZen iPhone app does not collect your payment-card details. Information you send to support is used to respond and resolve your request. Support correspondence is held separately from the service account and may be retained to document and resolve the request, billing questions or disputes; contact us to request its deletion where retention is not required.
Who helps deliver the service.
We use Cloudflare for the website and service infrastructure; Supabase for authentication and account data; Resend for requested account emails; Stripe for billing; Twilio for telephone numbers, SMS verification, voice calls, voicemail and configured analysis; and Apple push services for iPhone notifications. These providers receive the information needed for their roles and may process connection, security, service or diagnostic data under their own terms.
RingZen does not sell your personal information or use advertising trackers in these account pages. Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Your browser may keep a private closure confirmation so the page can recognize an accepted request. The app stores sign-in credentials securely in the iPhone Keychain and keeps service data needed to display your account.
How long information stays.
We keep account and service settings while your account is open. The RingZen Recents store keeps up to 100 entries for up to 30 days; this is separate from telephone-provider logs. Plus voicemail is scheduled to expire after 30 days and Pro voicemail after 90 days. Deleted or expired messages are hidden from the inbox and their audio and associated analysis are queued for provider removal. Provider interruptions can delay confirmed deletion.
SMS abuse-prevention counters use hashed destination references, kept for the current and previous UTC day. Closing your account removes its verified-number association without resetting that day's destination limit.
Account deletion removes your RingZen account, settings, registration records, call history and voicemail, and releases the assigned RingZen number. Cleanup is confirmed in stages rather than assumed complete when a request is received. An internal closure confirmation record remains for 90 days after completion; that completed record contains no account, service or phone-number association. A separate, access-restricted recovery safeguard in Cloudflare retains random account, service and deletion-request references during cleanup and for up to 30 days after the erasure steps finish. It contains no email address, phone number, billing details or message content and helps prevent an older database backup from reopening a deleted account.
Account deletion does not erase Stripe payment, invoice, tax or dispute records. Financial records may need to remain for accounting, legal obligations and resolving disputes. RingZen uses Supabase’s daily database backups with a seven-day recovery window. Backup copies can temporarily contain information already removed from the active database. Our recovery procedure requires an isolated restoration and reconciliation against the separate deletion records before customer access is enabled. These database backups do not contain voicemail audio stored by Twilio. We do not use older retained database exports for routine recovery. Providers may separately retain security, diagnostic or anti-fraud records under their retention processes. We do not promise immediate removal from every provider backup. Contact us for information about a specific request or retained record.
Your choices and account deletion.
You can edit service settings, manage iPhone permissions and request access to or correction of your information. To permanently close your account, open Delete your account. Sign in, confirm your identity and review the consequences. Turn off carrier forwarding first: after release, your RingZen number may be assigned to another person.
If a subscription remains active, complete the immediate Stripe cancellation step shown in the deletion flow. Ordinary subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate choices. Deletion does not automatically issue a refund; contact help@ringpass.app about billing questions. Your RingZen service stops when closure is accepted. We handle data removal and provider cleanup in the background; provider interruptions can delay final erasure. Once any required subscription cancellation is confirmed, you can leave the page and we take care of the rest.
Use help@ringpass.app for privacy, access, correction or deletion assistance. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Do not send passwords, verification codes or full payment-card information.
